UNDERWATER SURVEYING

OVERVIEW

Survey inspections are often requested by marine insurance companies prior to insuring a vessel. When preparing for a buyer's survey, vessel performance and condition are crucial for sea-trialing and inspection. The survey team at Hull2Prop enables vessel owners and buyers to get a preliminary underwater inspection of the vessel before having the vessel hauled for interior/exterior inspections. This can avoid unnecessary surprises at haul-out.

All survey inspections performed by hull2Prop include our "comprehensive video", which is similar to the "comprehensive video" we offer for all routine service on vessels. During an underwater survey our team will inspect many underwater components, such as: propellers, anodes, cutless bearings, rudders, rudder posts, through hulls, transducer, intake grates, hull condition, and bottom paint condition. All notes and recommendations from our team will be included on the survey report, with time stamps on the video for clarification and explanation.

PRICING

A vessel's hull must be cleaned within 3 days of an underwater survey to ensure that the survey team can accurately assess and document all aspects of the vessel's hull.
